EMI/RFI FILTER CONNECTORS
Cooper Interconnect's EMI filter connectors are used in harsh electrical and environmental applications to reduce electromagnetic interference while allowing the desired signals to pass. Cooper Interconnect's unique approach to a planar filter connector design offers the best electrical performance in the smallest possible package. Cooper Interconnect's high reliability solution to filtering a connector can be applied to any type of high performance connector where additional EMI / RFI protection is needed.
Additional advantages of a filter connector are the elimination of external filter circuits, greater reliability due to fewer connections and solder junctions. Epoxy encapsulation in strategic areas of the connector ensures the filter elements are protected during handling and from harsh environmental conditions. To verify compliance to the customer's specifications, all connectors are tested prior to shipment and are ready for system installation.
Cooper Interconnect's mission is to remain in the forefront of excellence and to remain a worldwide leader in quality, reliability and short delivery times. We are proud of our ISO 9001 Certification and our ability to engineer solutions.
The critical and unforgiving environments of space, aerospace, hydrospace, cryogenics, nuclear, electromagnetic and optics demand nothing less.
C Feed Thru Capacitor

The C Filter is a low inductance, feedthru capacitor. It is used to attenuate high frequency signals.
L Filter

The L filter consists of one Capacitive element and one inductive element. This type of filter may be used with either a low impedance source and a high impedance load or a high impedance load.
Pi Filter

The Pi Filter consists of two Capacitive elements and one inductive element. It provides better high frequency performance than C or L due to sharper rolloff and is designed for high or unknown impedance load and source applications.
T Filter

The T Filter consists of one Capacitive element and two inductive elements. It has similar performance characteristics to the Pi Filter in that the T Filter provides for a sharper rolloff than C or L Filters. It is best suited for low impedance load and source applications.

Electrical Performance
Standard filter characteristics are shown. Custom requirements are available in many arrangements. filter types may be mixed within a connector as well as grounded and/or unfiltered pins may be added. Please contact the factory for your specifications and delivery requirements.
