Another important addition is the pre-filled solder cups with lead-free solder. Amphenol provides their RoHS connectors without solder. This makes more work and presents quality problems for the end customer.

INDUSTRIAL 5015 CONNECTORS AND CABLE ASSEMBLIES
Cooper Interconnect is pleased to announce the release of our new series of Industrial 5015 connectors and cable assemblies. These heavy duty circular connectors conform to the MIL-DTL-5015 specification with similar reliability and performance.
Originally designed for military equipment, the industrial 5015 series is widely used in various industries due to its low cost and strong performance. The Industrial 5015 connector is used in products that require high levels of reliability such as medical equipment, electric cars, industrial building machinery, motors, sensors, robotics, heavy equipment, solar voltaics, etc.
Connector Styles
There are five basic connector styles. C3100, C3101, C3102, C3106 and
C3108. Each style relates directly to its military counterpart, MS3100, MS3101, MS3102, MS3106 and MS3108. The Industrial 5015 products are constructed to the same demanding standards and physical dimensions as the military version.
C3100 is a wall mount receptacle with additional cable mounting adaptor. This is designed to allow the addition of a backshell for cable protection and strain relieving.
C3101 is an inline cable plug designed to mate with C3106 and C3108 plug style connectors. This connector is similar to the C3100, but not designed to be panel mounted.
C3102 is called a box mounting receptacle. This is strictly a panel mounted connector and is design to mate with C3106 and C3108 plug style connectors. Gaskets are available to insolate the ground from the panel.
C3106 is straight cable plug. For Class A connectors, the addition of a backshell provides strain relief and cable protection.
C3108 is an angled cable plug designed to mate with C3100, C3101 and C3102 receptacle style connectors. For Class A connectors, the addition of a backshell provides strain relief and cable protection.
The Industrial 5015 connectors are available in four classes. A, E, F & R.
• Class A - A solid shell connector designed for general use / non-environmental applications.
• Class E - Essentially the same product as Class A, except with an additional integrated backshell and rear wire seal.
• Class F - Similar product to Class E, but with an additional O-ring for C3106 and C3108 to make a completely sealed connector.
• Class R - Similar product to Class F, but with a shorter backshell for applications that require a smaller form factor. Product pictures
